Meet the leadership team of Chilliwack Victory Church:
Pastor Morris Watson is currently the Lead Pastor of the Chilliwack Victory Church in Chilliwack BC, and the national chairman of Victory Churches of Canada International. Pastor Morris has been married to his wife, Lucinda, for over 30 years and they have two married daughters and two granddaughters. To date, he has been in full-time ministry for more than 20 years, and in bi-vocational ministry and church leadership for over thirty years. As well as pastoring full-time, he has planted several thriving churches, and released many pastoral couples into full-time ministry. Pastor Morris has a heart to raise up leaders to plant churches for the kingdom of God and to see spiritual transformation in the nation of Canada and around the world.
John & Rhema Phillips
Seeing the opportunity to serve in ministry as an honour, John & Rhema take their role seriously, but with a smile. Most often the first faces you’ll see upon entering the church on Sunday, this couple sees a simple handshake as their part in fulfilling The Great Commission. Their two sons join them at Chilliwack Victory Church and are learning from Mom and Dad what it means to serve.
Since arriving at Chilliwack Victory Church over three years ago, Jordan has offered her service and expertise in almost every area of ministry. With over 15 years experience in leading worship, a diploma in graphic design and four years of Bible school she contributes as much as she can to the local church. The young adults see her as the 72 year old young lady – a loving reference to the multi-coloured afghans and spinning wheel that grace her living room.
DJ has a passion for youth and seeing our group grow both in numbers, but in their spiritual lives as well. Along with a love for Jesus, DJ brings his love for life, fun, and games to his role. Youth is always an adventure. In his free time, DJ likes his Montreal Canadiens, Ultimate Frisbee, and cat shirts.
In support of her husband’s role as lead pastor, Lucinda has worked in many areas of ministry. She consistently fills gaps and helps to administrate and organise various groups into well-oiled machines.
Wendy brings years of corporate management and training experience into the arena of the local church. At Chilliwack Victory Church, she has taken on an administrative role and uses her skills to train and develop the next generation of church leaders. Outside of church, she divides her time amongst all the things she loves: her husband of 40 years, six children, nine grandchildren, and creative writing.
